What rolls in

Most garages photograph the shopfront. Every picture this shop has put online is of something up on a stand with its parts out.

The work

Import, domestic, and whatever else turns up.

01

Import and Domestic

Everyday cars of any make, which is the bulk of what comes through. Their own description starts there and so does the shop.

02

Electrical and Diagnostics

Computer diagnostics and electrical faults, the kind that need tracing rather than guessing. It is the first thing they list about themselves.

03

Air Conditioning

A/C work, listed in their own description alongside the electrical side.

04

Engine Work

Engine-out jobs, not just bolt-ons. There is a bare V8 short block on a stand in their photos and a car stripped to the timing cover.

05

Classics and 4x4s

A pre-war convertible sits in the bay and a restored FJ40 Land Cruiser is parked out front. Owners of cars like that pick their garage carefully.

06

Motorcycles and Heavy Duty

Bikes go on the stand here too, forks off and wheels out. There is a ten-stud truck hub in the photos as well.

Diagnostics

The faults that need finding.

Electrical and computer diagnostics sit at the front of how this shop describes itself, ahead of anything else. That is unusual, and it lines up with the kind of jobs customers write about afterwards.

The most recent review on their listing is from a driver who had been to four other shops in the area with a ground electrical fault and come away with failed diagnoses each time.

I went to Jack's auto repair here recently with ground electrical issues... After visiting 4 other mechanics in the area and receiving alarming estimates and failed diagnosis I was down on my luck... they were not only able to correctly diagnose the problem with my electrical work but had me rolling out the shop the very same day. I met Paul the head in charge and he was by far the most honest mechanic I've ever met.

I've driven over 4,000 miles since Paul fixed my van and it's been so smooth! I was referred to Jack's Auto when my camper van had a terrifying wobble. Paul was generous with his time & went out of his way to thoroughly diagnose the issue... I never felt like they were trying to oversell me. Nancy was so kind and easy to work with. This is an honest family that cares about their work & customers.

we had an old dodge caravan to sell and had failed the smog test, we were very lucky to happen on this place where the boss is super nice and understanding even though they are super busy! he helped us to check a lot of things to improve the situation before finally we had to do one repair... and we could get our retest without any issue and sold our car successfully
